Back by Popular Demand: The Return of the BPI Theater
BioProcess International Conference & Expo Offers Unique Interactive Forum Promoting Industry News, New Product Introductions and a Discussion of Key Industry Issues

New York – September 28, 2015 – By popular demand, the 2015 BioProcess International (BPI) Conference & Exposition will once again include the BPI Theater, a 360° interactive experience that offers content beyond the traditional conference sessions. The BPI Theater features industry-critical information in a variety of formats, fostering true collaboration between speakers, industry experts, and attendees. The Theater is just one of the exciting elements of the 2015 BPI Conference, which takes place on October 26-29 in Boston. Hosted by IBC Life Sciences USA, an Informa company, BPI focuses on key topics assisting scientists and engineers in advancing drug candidates closer to approval.

The BPI Theater will address industry challenges and concerns, as well as regulatory perspectives on critical issues. It will also examine the pitfalls to avoid when seeking regulatory approval. Highlights of this year’s BPI Theater schedule include:

  • “Ask the Regulators” Open Forum: A CMC Regulatory Discussion
  • New Product Launch Presentations
  • 3M Fireside Chat: An Interactive Panel Discussion on How to Accelerate Biopharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing
  • Live Speaker Interviews and Q&A

Another benefit of the BPI Theater is the roster of industry leaders scheduled to participate. Notable panelists presenting include:

  • Ganesh Vedantham, Ph.D., Director, Amgen
  • Gregg Nyberg, Ph.D., Director, Cell Sciences and Technology, Process Development, Amgen Inc.
  • K.V. Subramaniam, CEO, Reliance Life Sciences
  • Rahul Singhvi, MBA, COO, Takeda Vaccines
  • Hanne Bak, Ph.D., Senior Director, Preclinical Manufacturing and Process Development, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
  • Steve Cramer, Ph.D., William Weightman Walker Professor of Polymer Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • Victor A. Vinci, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer & Vice President, Cook Pharmica LLC

“One reason why the BPI Conference and Exposition is the most comprehensive in the industry is because we incorporate unique elements based on attendee feedback and recommendations,” said Barry Walsh, BPI Conference Director. “The BPI Theater is an example of that philosophy and we expect it to provide scientists and engineers with valuable insight into the market so they can bring drug candidates closer to approval.”
